Just two days after appearing on “Tamron Hall Show” portraying all the #MarriageGoals, Kenya Moore and Marc Daly are calling it quits! Deets inside.
Another day, another “Housewives” split. New mommy Kenya Moore and her restaurant owner hubby Marc Daly just issued separate statements to the press confirming they have split after 2 years of marriage. Sheesh!
Brooklyn Daly’s parents kept the details under wrap as to why the sudden 180 just occurred, but Kenya did mention in her statement that “recent and ongoing circumstances” are causing her not to be able to continue in the marriage. Oh?

This surely won’t help the ongoing rumors that this was never a real relationship in the first place, since Kenya was previously accused of hiring boyfriends to have a storyline for “Real Housewives of Atlanta”.
Kenya’s statement reads:
“It is with profound sadness that I regret to inform my fans that I am divorcing my husband Marc Daly,” Moore said. “Due to recent and ongoing circumstances, I can no longer continue in the marriage. My sole concern and focus is and will always be my daughter, Brooklyn, my miracle baby. She was made in love and true commitment. I ask for our privacy to be respected moving forward.”
Marc said in his statement:
“I have come to the difficult decision to separate from Kenya at this time. Our daughter has two parents that love her very much and in her best interests, this situation should remain as private as possible. I cherish our family’s good times together and will continue to co-parent in a loving way. Rumors, innuendo or false accusations only serve to hurt our family and will be addressed through counsel as the law permits. Please respect our privacy during this challenging period.”
This all seems…hasty. Even hastier than their marriage two years ago. Just how hasty? Kenya told People magazine back in 2016 about how their first date – after meeting through Chef Roblé – had them ready to get married STAT.
“I’ve never experience a first date like this before,” she gushed. “You know when you meet people, and you like them or have good chemistry with them but you don’t feel like the world has changed? I felt like the earth moved after our first date.”
“I probably would have married him in 30 days, the feeling was that strong,” she said of their first date. “But we wanted to wait and get to know each other and make sure it wasn’t an infatuation. We needed to make sure it was actually real.”
They got married a year later, without anyone knowing they were even dating, and she gushed about him afterwards to the mag saying:
“People think they know me from the glimpses they have of my life being a reality star,” Moore said. “But [Marc] sees me for who I am. …. He really knows my heart.”
“That’s why I fell in love with him,” she continued. “For him, it’s about being my protector and my best friend — not being someone that stands next to me, but someone who supports me and is okay with being behind me sometimes. He doesn’t want my money, he doesn’t want my fame, he doesn’t want my success. He just wants my heart, and he has it.”
Their secret marriage is what supposedly caused Bravo to not renew her full time contract. Kenya kept her entire relationship from the producers and the show, claiming Marc “didn’t want to be on camera.” When she returned as a special friend to the show last season, she was more open about talking about him, and he (barely) appeared on camera once.
They went on to have Baby Brooklyn less than a year ago after a tumultuous pregnancy, which is why they made a rare family appearance on Tamron Hall’s new show this week – to talk about their IVF journey.
So, what gives?
There seems to be more tea there than the twosome stated, as rumors of Marc allegedly having a secret ex-wife and kids have surfaced. LoveBScott reports it could have contributed to the sudden split:
According to our sources, it has been revealed that Kenya Moore is actually Marc’s SECOND wife — and he has two other kids from a previous marriage.
Marc’s ex-wife divorced him after just one year.
The turn of events is rather shocking, considering Kenya and Marc were together last night at a cast taping as happy as can be.
We gotta say, we first heard about a possible ex wife back in January on various message boards, but it was quickly squashed when folks believed they had the wrong Marc Daly.
But if this Marc Daly, king of Soco Restaurant in Brooklyn, does in fact has a secret past he kept from Kenya, we could see how that could be cause for concern and break some trust.
Either way, Kenya got a baby, a new beauty company, and a peach out this whole express marriage situation, so….maybe Congrats are in order instead of “I’m sorry, sis.”
Kenya returns to “Real Housewives of Atlanta” – with her peach – this October. We’re sure this will ALL play out on the show.
