She’s donated and raised millions upon millions of dollars to various causes, most of which she didn’t even make public. So it’s only right she receive BET’s Humanitarian Award for her endless good deeds and beautiful heart. Watch Beyoncé’s acceptance speech and the perfect girlfriend-to-girlfriend tribute from First Lady Michelle Obama inside.
If you missed Beyoncé’s Humanitarian Award salute last night during the 2020 BET Awards, you missed out. Well, until BET releases the full video like they did with everyone else’s performances and speeches last night. Apparently, only #WhiteMediaMatters because BET surely gave Entertainment Tonight the rights to some snippets, while leaving the rest of us media folks with nothing we can legally post.
So, we’ll just have to go with this for now.
Through her BEYGOOD organization, Beyoncé Giselle Knowles Carter has been exemplifying the quote “To whom much is given, much is required.” She’s been a driving force behind getting her hometown of Houston, Detroit, New Orleans, Haiti, East Africa, New York, various HBCUs and several other places with large black communities all the help they need for the Covid-19 crisis, detrimental hurricane seasons, epidemics, earthquakes, educational needs, and more. And her unapologetically black & pro-woman narratives shouldn’t be overlooked either. Both are necessary and have contributed endless amounts of excellence to the culture.
The “Black Parade” singer made sure she ended with a call to action – VOTE. Earlier in the day, she released a petition signed by herself, her mother Tina Lawson, sister Solange Knowles, actresses like Viola Davis and Taraji P. Henson, and many more, calling for Sen. Mitch McConnell to crack down on voter supression in the state of Kentucky:

I am proud to stand with my mother, @mstinalawson and the Mothers of The Movement to send this open letter to senators calling for the passing of the Heroes Act. This bill would help provide funding to ensure that our vote is protected this election cycle. Read the letter and add your voice with ours. Together we can be the change we want to see in the world. Sign the petition today by clicking the link in my bio. #ANDSTILLIVOTE

Seeing that Mitch helped create the laws that created this voter suppression, we doubt he’ll be listening to their cries. (Vote him OUT this November!)
On another note, we don’t know what type of sorcery this lock-down is doing on Mrs. Carter but honey, she.is.serving.for.the.quarantine.gawds.
