Four seasons in, Issa Rae’s hit HBO comedy series “Insecure” nabs an EMMY Award. Celebrate with the cast – Crip-Walk dance and all – inside…
It’s about TIME!
The Television Academy is finally realizing what we’ve all known for a few years now – “Insecure” is BOMB AF!
The hit HBO comedy series scooped up eight Primetime EMMY nominations this year. While the show should have won the Outstanding Comedy Series award, they did come home with one win. The “Insecure” episode “Lowkey Trying” won the Outstanding Single-Camera Picture Editing For A Comedy Series award! This mark’s the show’s very first EMMY Award.
WOOT!

Aye!
Issa’s co-star Yvonne Orji – who was up for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series – looked absolutely STUNNING in an Azzi and Osta gown, Christian Louboutin heels and David Yurman jewels:

Good morning to @yvonneorji and Yvonne Orji ONLY. The @insecurehbo star and “Mama I Made It” comedian might not have win the Emmy last night, but she definitely win everything else. She rocked an Azzi and Osta gown, Louboutin heels and David Yurman jewels, topped off with a bomb buzz cut with a powerful message. WERK.

”Insecure” star Christina Elmore (who plays Condola Hayes) was the real-life version of “if taking your role serious was a person.”  The “Twenties” actress showed off her baby bump during Issa’s Emmy stadium party:

Congrats!
Also…

Issa talked about what happened after her first Hollywood television pitch. The powers that be tried to tell Issa what the viewers wanted to see, but that only fueled her to keep pushing and bring stories to television we REALLY want to see. Peep the clip above.
